Welcome to my website! My name is Luke, an engineer by day and home cook by night.

Cooking is one of my top passions, especially Asian food, because I love being able to share culture and flavors that I grew up eating with others, and what better way to do that than making meals for friends and family? After all, food brings people together from all walks of life!

One day, I was starting to find that a lot of store-bought options for chili oil and chili crisp weren’t cutting it for me anymore. It was really hard to find an authentic and traditional chili oil that provided depth as an ingredient or flavor as a condiment. This inspired me to start making my own.

What you will find in Big Red Chili is a chili oil with a bold but mild kick that slowly builds up, a variety of different flavors, and the fragrance of classic aromatics that will elevate any dish you put it on, from topping scrambled eggs with it to making a dumpling sauce, and also for adding tons of depth to your favorite dishes! It’s balanced and layered, so it complements your food instead of stealing the spotlight.

I make my chili with carefully selected ingredients, including high qualities chilis from Sichuan, China, as well as organic aromatics because flavor and culture deserve real care. Hope you’ll join me on this journey!
